Enjoy Your 100th Newsletter

By Ian Brown, Editor, EAA 657159

March 2020 - I noticed that this is the 100th newsletter for which I have had the privilege of being the editor. You have been a great audience for my ramblings and those of my co-conspirators. I would like to congratulate all of the authors over the years who have made this newsletter a success.

We have some great content this month, from flying adventures to aviation knick-knacks to building tips. As the temperatures warm up slowly, I hope most of you are warming up too and getting excited for the new flying season ahead of us.

We have some wonderful articles in the funnel for the coming months. Did you know that we had a Canadian Chapter Leaders webinar in February? Actually it wasn't strictly just for chapter leaders, but we hoped that they would spread the word about the topics covered. You can watch the webinar here and find out everything that was discussed.

You're going to enjoy this YouTube video about Brian Kelly, United Airlines pilot and an RV8 builder who decided that he wanted to use a radial engine on his project at Spruce Creek Airpark just south of Daytona, Florida. Interestingly, he says moving to the radial engine means he's down in horsepower and up in drag, but hey, it's unique.

As always, if you're interested in something you're doing, others probably will be too. Why not write it up. A half an hour writing us an article is a special type of reaching out to your fellow EAA members across Canada and beyond.

Happy and safe flying in 2020.
