New Canadian Council Members Needed

November 2018 - Jack Dueck, longtime chairman of the EAA Canadian Council and EAA Lifetime 337912, has announced his intention to resign from the EAA Canadian Council effective as soon as a replacement is found. Jack J. Pelton, EAA chairman and CEO, suggested at the recent EAA Canadian Council meeting in Oshkosh that it may also be useful to solicit board members from Canadian chapters that are not currently represented on the board.

If you would like to be considered for board membership, please submit your application using the link below. Geographical location of members is a contributing factor in the selection program. Candidates should have a good knowledge of Canadian recreational aviation interests and be willing to donate considerable time and effort to advance these interests for Canadians. In return, you will make new friends, grow as an aviator, and enjoy the fulfillment that comes with promoting aviation to young and old.

A bilingual candidate based in the Ottawa area would be especially valued.

Candidates will be required to meet and deliberate with EAA staff at Oshkosh at least once each year as well as participate in quarterly telephone conferences. Council members play a vital role in supporting Canadian EAA chapter activities. They must also be willing to help with Canadian activities during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh.

The purpose of the council is to liaise between EAA headquarters and Canadian EAA members. Council members serve their community on a voluntary basis.
