May 1, 2014 - A number of EAA staff members were among the more than 2,500 people attending AOPA’s first regional fly-in at the San Marcos Municipal Airport in San Marcos, Texas, on Saturday, April 26.

EAA Chairman Jack Pelton was joined by Rick Larsen, vice president of marketing and communications; and Dave Chaimson, vice president of business development; along Nadia Farr, director of donor development; and Trevor Janz, manager of chapters and Eagle Flights.

EAA’s B-17 Aluminum Overcast was also there for its April 25-27 tour stop hosted by EAA Chapter 187 in Austin. The World War II bomber made a significant presence on the ramp and was the center of attention with every engine start-up, providing numerous flights and ground tours.

EAA will be assisting AOPA at a number of their events throughout the country in 2014. Also look for increased participation at some of the major EAA member-focused fly-ins this year, such as the Arlington Fly-In at Arlington, Washington, and the Copperstate Fly-In at Casa Grande, Arizona.
