October 2, 2014 - Pilots who fly at least one Young Eagle between July 1-December 31, 2014 will be automatically entered into the Fall 2014 Young Eagles Pilot Appreciation Sweepstakes with prizes to be announced soon. This is the second sweepstakes developed by EAA Young Eagles Chairman Sean D. Tucker for Young Eagles volunteer pilots to show appreciation for volunteer pilots who give so generously of their time. He considers the volunteer pilots his “personal heroes,” so this is a way to thank them for their service.

Prize winners will be selected in January 2015. (No purchase or donation is necessary to enter the sweepstakes, and a purchase or donation will not improve chances of winning.)

Youth flight in El Cajon

Sean continues his work with Young Eagles this week in advance of his scheduled Fleet Week performance at the MCAS Miramar Air Show (October 3-5). This time he flew with 17-year-old Tristan Werner, who has been on several Young Eagle flights before, on October 2 at Gillespie Field Airport in El Cajon, California. Sean was able to show Tristan advance flying tips as they flew in the Oracle Extra 300.
