EAA Signs Joint Letter Urging Workforce Grant Funding

February 7, 2019 - EAA is one of 40 aviation organizations that signed a joint letter to U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao and Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney urging the current administration to seek full funding of $10 million for technician and pilot workforce grant programs.

The FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018 created two grant programs for recruiting and training pilots and technicians, and the letter is asking for these programs to be fully funded to address the looming pilot shortage across the country.
