Museum Exhibit Celebrates 25 Years of Young Eagles

March 2, 2017 - A special yearlong exhibit celebrating the 25th anniversary of EAA’s Young Eagle program opened this week at the EAA Aviation Museum in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Located in the museum’s Gorman Art Gallery, the exhibit tells the story of the Young Eagles program over the last 25 years through words, photographs, video, artifacts, and interactive displays. Topics covered include the program’s origins, the volunteers who have dedicated their time and talent to helping fly more than 2 million young people since 1992, the volunteer chairpersons over the years, the impact the program has had on general aviation, and more.

The exhibit also features the cockpit of a Sonex aircraft, where visitors can climb inside and experience the thrill of flying for themselves through a virtual reality video.

The special 25th anniversary exhibit is open to the public and will be on display at the museum through December 2017.
