New Website Helps Boost International Young Eagles Day 2019

June 20, 2019 - Saturday, June 8, was EAA's annual International Young Eagles Day. Hundreds of EAA chapters in the U.S. and Canada hosted events for thousands of Young Eagles ages 8-17, including EAA Chapter 252 in Oshkosh.

New this year was the Young Eagles Day software used to preregister and manage a chapter’s Young Eagles rally. More than 190 chapters registered to use the free software and many used it to help their efforts on this special day.

Final numbers are still coming in, but it appears that the number of Young Eagles flown is strong compared to recent years. The success of International Young Eagles Day depends on the thousands of dedicated volunteer ground crew, coordinators, and pilots who make the events so successful, as does so much that EAA is able to accomplish.
