EAA Spirit of Aviation Mobile Experience in Norman for AOPA Fly-in
September 14, 2017 - With great weather and robust attendance, EAA participated in the latest AOPA fly-in held in Norman, Oklahoma, last weekend. EAA’s immersive Spirit of Aviation Mobile Experience — positioned as part of the static aircraft display — was a big hit with attendees and more than 1,000 people made their way through the vehicle during the two-day event. Visitors experienced virtual reality displays, sheet metal crafts, flight simulators, and glider building activities. A new NATCA air traffic control simulator was also quite popular. Thank you to EAA staff and volunteers were on hand to greet and assist guests and their families.
Next stop for the EAA Spirit of Aviation Mobile Experience is the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta October 7-15. If you’re there, stop by and say hi to your fellow EAAers!
