2018 EAA Aircraft Sweepstakes Winner Selected

September 20, 2018 - Stephen Fiegel, EAA 829468, was recently selected as the grand prize winner of the 2018 EAA Aircraft Sweepstakes Piper J-3 Cub, which was restored by C & D Aviation in Bessemer, Alabama.

Stephen, who resides in New Hampshire, has been a tailwheel and aerobatic instructor for the past six years with his company Keystone Aerosports. He’s also worked with Rob Holland Ultimate Airshows for the past four seasons.

“I was quite shocked when I first received the news that we had won the Cub,” Stephen said. “Actually, it took a while to convince my girlfriend that I was serious and it wasn’t some sort of prank. It is a beautiful looking airplane and we can’t wait to see it in person again – we had taken a quick glance during AirVenture earlier this year. We are working on long-term plans for the airplane, but for now, we are very excited and looking forward to the adventure of flying the airplane back to New Hampshire! I also want to pass along our gratitude to EAA and everyone who helped restore the gorgeous Cub.”
