EAA Holding Workshops at DeLand Sport Aviation Showcase

October 19, 2017 - EAA is hosting two daily workshops at the second annual DeLand Sport Aviation Showcase at DeLand Municipal Airport (KDED) from November 2-4. Similarly to EAA SportAir Workshops, these workshops will instruct attendees in the use of composite and sheet metal in homebuilding.

EAA SportAir Workshop instructor John Brecher, EAA 140878, will lead attendees of the workshops through the hands-on lessons step by step. Materials used in the workshops are provided by Aircraft Spruce and Specialty.

EAA Director of Chapters, Communities, and Homebuilt Community Manager Charlie Becker will be on hand at EAA’s booth at the event in addition to hosting a forum entitled “Building Your Own Aircraft 101” on Thursday and Friday. EAA members in attendance are encouraged to stop by EAA’s booth and say hello.

DeLand’s local Chapter 635 is hosting a corn roast daily during the event, plus a pancake breakfast each morning for a recommended donation of $5. Tickets to the event can be purchased online, and EAA members can purchase discounted tickets. Learn more >>
