EAA Readies for AMA, Sebring Events

See One Week Wonder in Sebring

January 8, 2015 - EAA will be a first-time exhibitor at the Academy of Modeling Aeronautics Expo this weekend, January 9-11, at the Ontario Convention Center in Southern California, then heads to Florida next week for the 10th annual U.S. Sport Aviation Expo January 14-17 at Sebring, Regional Airport.

At the AMA Expo, EAA will share exhibit space 924/926 with EAA Chapter 96, of Compton, California, as they engage with the radio-controlled aircraft and modeling community. Attendees are invited to stop by and say hello, learn more about EAA, member benefits, and the chapter network.

AMA Expo hours are Friday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Learn more about the AMA Expo.

At Sebring, look for EAA in Tent C in the outdoor display area. The exhibit will include a fuselage building activity and a rivet board will be in the tent so attendees can stop by and participate. Also see EAA’s One Week Wonder, the Zenith CH750 Cruzer airplane built by thousands of people during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2014, on display throughout the Expo.

Speaking of AirVenture, there will be a 2015 AirVenture countdown clock on display. Exclusive EAA homebuilder and LSA merchandise will be available. In addition, attendees will have an opportunity to enter the 2015 EAA Aircraft Sweepstakes for a beautifully restored Piper J-3 Cub.                                                                                                                

At 1 p.m. Thursday, January 15, EAA Homebuilding Community Manager Charlie Becker will join a panel discussion about boosting general aviation activity and ways to keep aircraft ownership affordable.
