Alan Shackleton

Alan is a Regional Account Executive at Aircraft Spruce and Specialty covering the Upper Midwest. He served 25 years as President, Newsletter Editor and Technical Counselor for EAA Chapter 579 in Aurora, Illinois.

He served on the original EAA Strategic Planning Committee and was the first Chairman of the EAA Chapter Advisory Council. He previously served as the Board Secretary. He currently serves on the EAA Board of Directors and is a member of the Museum and Pathways Committees.

Alan restored a Staggerwing B17L s/n 3 that won Reserve Grand Champion Antique at Oshkosh in 1983. Alan holds a Private Pilot Certificate and a Mechanics Certificate (A&P) and an Inspection Authorization (IA).
