Betty is known for her presentations on the Wright Brothers. The photos of Orville and Amelia and the opportunity to read letters they had sent each other energized her interest in Amelia.

.  While sharing the story of the Wright Brothers at an aviation conference at Purdue, Betty had the opportunity to spend time examining the papers of Amelia Earhart.  One learns about Amelia through the eyes of the people she met.  Betty is continually discovering people who were touched by Amelia.

The story she shares is unique and based on first person experiences that have yet to be published.
