Brig. Gen. Charles McGee

Tuskegee Airmen
Charles McGee was born in 1919. WWII interrupted his education at the University of Illinois. He enlisted in 1942 and entered the Army Air Corps Aviation Cadet Training. He received his Silver Wings as a single engine pilot and a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in June 1943, as a graduating member of Class 43-F, Tuskegee Army Airfield, S.E. Flying Training Command. McGee served on active duty for 30 years in the USAF, and is a combat veteran of WWII, Korea and Vietnam.
