1989-Current: Chief Historian at USS Arizona Memorial (WWII Valor in the Pacific National Monument)
2005-Present: Adjunct Professor, Naval War College, Newport, Rhode Island
2002-2006   Host & Historian-in-Residence for “Unsolved History”, Discovery Channel
1979-1985: Seasonal (summer) park ranger for the National Park Service at Little Bighorn Battlefield, Montana.
1981-1984 History & Journalism Teacher at Bishop Montgomery High School , Torrance, Ca

MEDIA CONSULTANT & TELEVISION PERSONALITY:
• Host and Historian-in-Residence for The Discovery Channel’s television series “Unsolved History” from 2002-2006. Thirty-six productions on topics involving the use of forensic science and history.
• Researcher and co-creator of “Unsolved History” for The Discovery Channel 
• Appeared as on-camera personality in seventy-three various documentaries for The History Channel, Discovery Channel, The Military Channel, National Geographic Channel, The Travel Channel, ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, FOX and CNN
