Doug Tomas grew up in Madison, Wisconsin, an EAA Lifetime member since 1983. At age 10, he attended his first EAA fly-in and convention in Rockford, Illinois, in 1969.
Doug earned his private pilot license at age 17, during the summer between his junior and senior years in high school.
Doug earned his Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic’s license in 1979. and holds an Inspection Authorization (IA) certificate.
