Jim Kaschmitter began in Li-ion in 1989 at Lawrence Livermore National Lab and has founded several energy storage companies, including PolyStor (Li-ion battery manufacturing); PowerStor (supercapacitors); and UltraCell (micro fuel cells). Jim’s company, SpectraPower provides consulting and research in energy technologies. Jim has degrees in Electrical Eng. and Physics and has >20 patents in alternative energy. He flies a Velocity XL-RG and holds instrument and multi-engine ratings.
