My father, Marshall Smith, built our grass strip in the 50’s. Growing up, our family had several aircrafts. One of those aircrafts happened to be a Piper-PA12 which I soloed off of the grass strip that we still own today. Since then, I have started South Mississippi Light Aircraft (SMLA). I have personally built 15 or more experimental aircrafts and a countless number of ultralights. I am a private pilot and currently fly a Rans S7 with a Rotax 915iS.
