Rose became an ATC Controller in 1983, and has worked in the Tower, Center, and Flight Service Options. For the past 12 years she authored articles on ATC for several magazines including AOPA Pilot, IFR Refresher, Fly Low, the Atlantic Flyer and the FAA Intercom. In 2009, Rose was named national Flight Service Specialist of the year. After retiring from the FAA, Rose became a QA engineer with Lockheed Martin Flight Service.
