Seth Washburne
Since 2008 I have been the historian for the U.S. Army Air Corps 13th Troop Carrier Squadron, which during WWII flew C-47 cargo planes in the South Pacific, from Fiji to the Philippines. In 2011 I published an 800-page book about it, "The Thirsty 13th." Since then, I have written 55 newsletters with details from 650 of the squadron’s 815 members. Since 2010, I have owned two historic C-47s, one from this squadron and one from the 95th TCS that flew most of the European war missions.
