50+ year EAA member, ATP/CFII, now avocational aviation safety researcher. Finalist, EAA Founder’s Innovation Prize. Charter member EAA Homebuilt Aircraft Council, former Chapter President. Employers included SRI International (nee Stanford Research Institute), Apple Computer, Honeywell, Boeing, Gulfstream, all in R&D or advanced development. 3800 hours total includes 1,380 in 95 individual homebuilts. Ed has 3800 hours with ATP/AMELS, Comm ASELS/glider, an MIT Ph.D. and has performed R&D and advanced development for airframers and avionics houses.
