Gary Brossett is a Senior Quality Engineer at Pratt & Whitney’s Columbus Engine Center. Before joining P&W in 2005, Gary served in the United States Air Force for twenty-five years in aircraft maintenance, including three years as a maintenance instructor for the Community College of the Air Force.

Gary’s wife Janet (EAA 375867) introduced him to the EAA. The daughter of the late Ray Swanson (EAA 104905), Janet grew up in the EAA. They attended Gary's first EAA convention in the summer of 1990 after being married in May and have enjoyed membership since. After retiring from the United States Air Force and being a member at large for 15 years, Gary found a chapter home and has volunteered in a number of positions through the years. He currently serves as President of EAA Chapter 677 in Columbus, Georgia.

He’s a five-time Master Aviation Educator and has earned Graduate Certificates in Aviation Safety and Instructional System Design, a Master of Aeronautical Science in Aviation Education Technology from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a Master of Science in Quality Management from Eastern Michigan University. He holds a private pilot certificate with single engine land and lighter than air ratings, A&P/IA and remote pilot certificate.

Gary is a life member of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) and Air Force Association (AFA) and is a member of Vintage Aircraft Association (VAA).
