Introducing Cassie Bruss

Cassie BrussApril 2017 - I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself. My name is Cassie Bruss. I am the new EAA HR business partner and manager of volunteer programs. I am incredibly excited to join the EAA team!

I have been involved in volunteer activities in the Fox Valley area for several years. My initial involvement came as a program committee chair in a local nonprofit mentoring organization and most recently on another committee in my parish, St. Jude the Apostle, here in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. I gained a lot of understanding and appreciation from these experiences — both as a volunteer and as a volunteer organizer.

Volunteers mean the world to me! How can our communities get better without volunteers? One of my MBA courses focused on conscious capitalism, which is the principle that a company should focus on more than profit by giving back. Corporations and organizations have the ability to make a positive impact on the communities they serve, as well as develop a higher purpose around the world. If all companies created a goal to focus on conscious capitalism and gave back to the communities they serve, the possibilities of positive impact are endless. With that being said, I am incredibly honored to work with all of the volunteers who give back to EAA, not only during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, but throughout the entire year. You make this organization what it truly is — a vibrant and growing aviation community!

Just a little about myself.

I have been part of the Oshkosh community for more than 12 years. My husband and I met at UW Oshkosh and decided to stay in the Fox Valley area. We are blessed with two children — Jack and Marti, currently attending Lourdes Academy elementary school. We also have two German shepherd dogs who keep us all in line. We all love to spend time in the outdoors, taking road trips and exploring new places

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with a Bachelor of Science in psychology and a Bachelor of Business Administration in human resources. I began my career with Oshkosh Corporation and enhanced my skills and knowledge over the course of six years in various positions. I went on to earn my MBA at Cardinal Stritch University and graduated this past summer.

Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome! I look forward to getting to know you all and working together very soon.

See you at AirVenture!
