Fueling up at OSH16

June 23, 2016 - With EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2016 fast approaching, we thought we’d share a quick reminder about how to get fuel, courtesy of our FBO partner, Basler Flight Service.

Basler uses a fuel request tag system in order to accommodate the large numbers of aircraft that come to our convention every year. Here’s how it works:

Request a tag from a Basler Flight Service booth or office, Basler Ramp employee, or from an EAA Parking Volunteer. Fill the tag out completely on the front side and then hang it on the propeller of your aircraft. A fuel truck will come by and service the aircraft according to your instructions. (Failure to fill out the tag completely or provide fueling instructions will result in the aircraft not being serviced.) The tag will be turned in to one of the locations listed below according to its color. Stop by later that day or before departing to pay your bill.

Yellow:  North Fuel Booth located next to North 40 Tiedown Rental

White: Main Office (Basler Ramp) located west of the main terminal or North Booth

Green: South Fuel Booth located directly north of the Ultralight Runway and south of the Vintage Aircraft Registration

By parking area and aircraft type:

General Aviation Aircraft parked on the Grass (North or South Rwy 9/27):

Fuel requests tags (YELLOW) are available at the North Booth and South Booth, or from Basler’s main office.

Warbird Aircraft:

Fuel request tags (WHITE) are available at the North Booth, next to the North 40 Registration office, or from Basler’s main office. Warbirds can also preregister their aircraft for refueling.

Antique/Classics/Homebuilts:

Fuel request tags (GREEN) are available at the South Booth, next to the antique classic café, or from Basler’s main office.

Basler Ramp Aircraft:

All Ramp customers must check in with Basler’s office upon arrival. Fuel request tags (BLUE) are available at their office, which is located on the northwest end of their ramp.  These tags are only available in the main office and should be turned in there for fuel requests, not hung on the aircraft prop.

If you have any questions, see Basler’s website or call their office at 920-236-7827.
