The official EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2017 application is now available as a free download on iTunes (supports iOS version 9 or higher) and Google Play. (supports Android version 4.4 or higher)

The EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2017 App, presented by Textron Aviation, is the official mobile app for getting the most out of AirVenture 2017. With a new, more user-friendly platform, the app will give guests the ability to browse more than 1,000 attractions, workshops, and forums and create their own personal schedule. With over 800 exhibitors and a full map of locations, the app is the go-to guide for the most up-to-date information.

The app, which was redesigned to make it more user-friendly and is powered by Liveality, contains a full map of locations and a scheduling feature which allows users to create their own personal schedule by choosing from the more than 1,000 options during the days of AirVenture.

“We are really excited to share the new EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2017 app with everyone,” Nicole Brown, EAA digital marketing associate, said. “With a new platform and a clean look, the app will have the most up-to-date AirVenture information available. We’ve worked hard to add enhanced features that make it easier for people to find exactly what they are looking for related to AirVenture.”

Powered by Google Maps, the new map feature allows users to “favorite” any location to make it easier to get to, and has built-in navigation functionality to help Oshkosh attendees get where they’re going quickly and easily.

The 800-plus exhibitors at Oshkosh this year are also listed on the app, and they can be “favorited” as well, allowing users to organize a schedule of events they can check at any time under the My EAA icon. Additionally, the Services menu allows attendees to see everything the EAA grounds have to offer during AirVenture.

To help sort through the massive variety of events and activities that will take place during AirVenture, an Interests section of the app allows users to see all the activities in a certain area of interest, whether it be for Kids and Family, Veterans, Warbirds Fans, or one of the other options available. A new search box will also help attendees looking for a specific area or attraction.

Finally, the 2017 app includes new screen modes’. It can be difficult to read digital screens in certain outdoor conditions, but this feature allows users to change the app display to help with readability, whether it’s bright and sunny out or it’s dark, like during the night air show.

New updates and features, including an enhanced search, a food section containing menus, a social media picture stream and picture-sharing function, and the ability to remember a parking spot so users don’t forget where they’ve parked, will continue to become available in the weeks leading up to AirVenture. The app is available free of charge from both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, and links to download it as well as find out more information can be found at EAA.org/app.
