Blood Drive Tuesday at UWO

July 22, 2018 - The American Red Cross is hosting a blood drive Tuesday, July 24, at UW Oshkosh in the Gruenhagen Conference Center from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The organization said it has an urgent need for blood and platelet donors of all kinds to help prevent a summer blood shortage. With busy summer schedules, vacations, and school breaks the Red Cross said it typically sees a drop in donations this time of year.

To make an appointment, donors can download the American Red Cross Blood Donor app, visit www.RedCrossBlood.org, or contact Charles Reingardt at 414-614-8612. Completion of a RapidPass online health history questionnaire is encouraged to help speed up the donation process. A blood donor card and driver’s license — or two other forms of identification — are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood.
