Report posted 6:20 AM Sunday, July 28, 2018.
General Aviation Camping and Parking Areas
The General Aviation Camping area and the General Aviation Parking area are each open for all aircraft types.
Showplane Camping and Parking Areas
Showplane areas accommodate experimentals (homebuilts), warbirds, production aircraft manufactured prior to 1971, ultralights, and amphibians. These areas remained open for the duration of AirVenture 2018.
The ground at Wittman Regional Airport is firm and suitable for taxiing. As always pilots should use extra caution when taxiing off of paved surfaces and should avoid areas marked with cones.
Information for arriving pilots
Be sure to have on board a copy of the AirVenture 2018 NOTAM, which includes diagrams of the new taxiway alignment on page 13. The 2018 NOTAM is available at www.eaa.org/notam.
Note that the Oshkosh Ground control frequency has been changed to 132.3.
Next planned update to this page: 2019. Have a great flight!
