The EAA Education Center offers a variety of opportunities by visiting the many colleges, universities, and technical schools that offer programs in aviation and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics or STEM-based curriculum.

In the Forums Center, you will find daily sessions and seminars hosted by aviation experts and thought leaders. Topics will range from drone flying to innovative technology.

Drone Cage

Drone Cage

The Drone Cage offers an opportunity to fly a UAV and learn how drones are used

If you are craving even more drone action, check out the free flight taking place from 7 to 9:30 p.m. nightly on the grass runway at Pioneer Airport (across from the EAA Aviation Museum).

Drone Cage Obstacle Course

Experienced UAV pilots can test their skills in a fun, challenging daily competition at the popular Drone Cage obstacle and speed course, presented by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2020.

The challenge will run daily from 3-5 p.m. inside the Drone Cage at the Education Center at Aviation Gateway Park. Attendees can use one of the quadcopters provided by Horizon Hobby, Inc.

Sign up for the Drone Cage obstacle course will be available on-site at the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University booth or in advance by emailing
Scott Burgess. Winners of the daily course challenge will receive awards donated by Etched Memory, LLC, as well as the envy of their peers. Come and join the fun!
