Time to Renew Your Chapter!

November 2017 - Well, it’s been a fantastic year. EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2017 was the best I’ve ever seen. The features and attractions were world class. With special events such as the Apollo reunion and Bomber Day, it is safe to say that this was one of the best conventions ever.

Combine the attractions with the new Blue Barn and Camp Scholler Chapter Pavilion, and it was a year to remember. Here at headquarters, fall always seems busier than spring. With the best flying weather coming at this time of year, we’re just trying to fit everything in before the snow flies. November signals the final portion of the year, with Thanksgiving and Christmas not far away. It’s also time for chapter renewal!

I hope those of you who have renewed your chapters over the past few years have noticed a steady improvement in the online chapter-renewal tool. We are very proud of the progress we’ve made on that score and are excited to build on that success. This year you will be emailed a familiar renewal tool, with a few small updates to improve the user experience but with no major changes.

For chapter officers completing the renewal, the process should be quick and painless (15 minutes or less to complete if you have your chapter’s information ready to go). The renewal tool will pull your current information and allow you to make changes as needed for the upcoming year. Please check carefully, as the EAA chapter office uses this information to send you updates on programming and benefits, along with other important announcements. The information is also used to update your chapter’s contact information online so that prospective members can reach out to you. Once you complete the online renewal, you will be given the option to pay with a credit card or check, and you will also be able to save the information you’ve entered on a PDF.

An email will be sent to chapter officers with the renewal details, so please take a few moments to ensure that your chapter has completed its renewal and is ready for 2018!
