Forums Hosts

Volunteers are needed throughout the week of AirVenture in the Forums Hosts area. Our volunteers greet Forums presenters, ask if they have any questions or need technical or audio/visual assistance, and take a count of attendance at the presentation. It's a great way to meet interesting people and hear their presentations while helping EAA. Volunteers can work as much or as little as they wish, whenever they wish. We usually have openings for volunteers most of the time, especially later in the week. Just walk up to the Forums Office (the small building in the center of the Forums Plaza) and ask for the Forums Hosts - we'll be happy to meet you and get you started!

Duties:

Greet the Forum speaker and identify yourself as a Forums volunteer.
Ask the speaker if they need any audio-visual assistance and either render assistance or obtain assistance from the Forums office.
Complete an information form for each Forum presentation, including a count of attendees, comments and/or suggestions on the presentation.

Skills:

No special skills are needed, just a friendly smile and a willingness to meet and speak with presenters, offer assistance, listen to and evaluate presentations, and perform minor trash pickup and chair straightening tasks. Computer and PowerPoint skills are helpful, but not required. We have staff who can help presenters with these issues when they arise.

Please contact Keith Anderson if you would like to volunteer; keith.j.anderson@gmail.com.
