EAA WomenVenture

EAA WomenVenture has aimed to inspire, empower, and break down barriers for young girls and women that dream of flight. Each day, bold women take on the challenge of making their aviation dreams come true and encourage others to do the same.

This year, WomenVenture programming will center on a theme of women in vertical lift and rotorcraft aviation missions, and the unique impacts made by this niche of the aviation industry.

EAA

Keynote Speaker: Nicole Battjes founded Rainbow Helicopters at just 27 years old and built it into a thriving multi-million dollar company, with 50 team members operating a fleet of eight helicopters: two Airbus AS350s and six Robinson R-44s. Today, it’s the largest air tour company in Oahu, Hawaii. From private pilot to entrepreneur, Nicole has inspired a whole generation of women aviation professionals to pursue their own visions of success. In this inspiring keynote, Nicole shares how she navigated a male-dominated industry, overcame major business and financial struggles, and became the Chair of the world’s largest trade association for vertical aviation – just 2 weeks after the birth of her second son. Nicole’s story proves that you can succeed as a woman, an executive, and a mother in aviation, without having to sacrifice your ambitions.

2024 EAA WomenVenture T-Shirt Design

EAA WomenVenture 2024 T-shirt Design Contest Winner: Madelyn Dorn

Congratulations to Madelyn Dorn, EAA 1265308, for designing the winning EAA WomenVenture 2024 T-shirt! Madelyn is currently a graphic design student at Moraine Park Technical College and has designed posters for other nonprofits and the training bib for Olympic downhill skier Breezy Johnson. While visiting EAA five years ago, Madelyn took a Young Eagles ride at Pioneer Airport, and each summer she enjoys watching the air show with her family from the lake! She was motivated to enter the contest after seeing EAA’s social media post about the contest, and her design was inspired by this year’s WomenVenture theme of women in vertical lift and rotorcraft aviation missions.
