Blue Angels panel concludes 2023 EAA Aviation Adventure Speaker Series on November 16

EAA AVIATION CENTER, OSHKOSH, Wisconsin — (November 8, 2023) — The final EAA Aviation Adventure Speaker Series of 2023 will focus on the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, better known as the Blue Angels. Captain Greg Wooldridge and print historian Mat Garretson will be part of a discussion about the famed aerial team on Thursday, November 16, at 7 p.m. at the EAA Aviation Museum.

The guest speakers will highlight the more than 75-year history of the Blue Angels, along with personal stories of being involved with one of the world’s great military aviation teams.

Wooldridge served in the U.S. Navy for 27 years. During this time, he commanded the Blue Angels in 1991 and 1992, and again in 1993 and 1996. Wooldridge is the only naval aviator to have served three tours with the team.

Garretson serves as the Print Historian for the Blue Angels Association and is a lifelong pilot, having logged more than 10,000 hours. He has written professionally about aviation topics for more than 40 years, including multiple Blue Angels book projects along with several other books and magazine articles.
