Welcome, 2023!

March, 2023 –

Welcome back! I am beyond excited for all we have planned in 2023. I hope your holidays were filled with rest and relaxation. At Oshkosh, we certainly had a very white Christmas with a few frigid winter storms. It was nice to stay inside and reflect on what an amazing year 2022 was, as well as look forward to the opportunities ahead.

I am receiving several calls and emails each week from past AirVenture guests who are now interested in volunteering. We’ll start posting volunteer opportunities in March to our volunteer website, so if you’re looking to volunteer in a new area this AirVenture, check out the site for more options. Likewise, if your area needs additional volunteers, reach out to your area volunteer chairman with your ideas and suggestions. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the post-AirVenture volunteer survey. I’ve spent a significant amount of time paging through the comments and passed on feedback that we will use to improve our volunteer experiences.

The team here in Oshkosh hasn’t slowed down! We continue to plan the upcoming AirVenture with renewed energy and excitement — making some exciting improvements along the way. The team has already announced some of the exciting news on our site, — including confirmed air show performers and details about our Pilot Your Own Adventure writing contest supported by Flight Outfitters. I am very grateful to you all; for your hard work, dedication, positive attitude, and excitement. Each volunteer I’ve spoken to over the past several months has brought such positive energy and excitement about returning to Oshkosh.
