June 18, 2015 - The final count is in and it is official: EAA Chapter 1541 of Lincoln, California, flew a total of 827 people at its EAA Ford Tri-Motor event earlier this month – the most ever by a chapter at a single tour stop.

In February this year, EAA Chapter 555 in Las Cruces, New Mexico, flew 807 passengers at its event, so 1541 now has the distinction of having flown the most passengers ever by a chapter.

EAA’s new Manager of the EAA Chapter network, Brett Hahn, is a member of the Las Cruces chapter (Triple Nickel Flyers) and had a friendly battle going on with Chapter 1541 president Rich Bristow, but was providing advice and guidance all along the way of how to make its event as successful as possible.

“They spent several months preparing with one goal in mind and that was to put together something as amazing as our team did and hopefully beat it.” Hahn said. “Everybody said we were lucky, but Chapter 1541 proved that it wasn’t luck, that good old fashioned hard work can make any tour stop a success.”

He congratulates the members of EAA Chapter 1541, and invites all members to stop by the EAA Welcome Center during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2015 and learn about ways they can make their events a grand success.
