Celebrate the anniversary of the first powered flight and the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 8 mission with a keynote presentation, cocktails, and full dinner service.

Keynote presentation will be Apollo 8 Cmdr. Frank Borman and Command Module Pilot James Lovell. Both men are accomplished NASA astronauts who have served several missions to space in addition to the Apollo 8 mission. Fellow astronaut, Charles Precourt, will lead the panel discussion with these two distinguished astronauts.





The Apollo 8 mission was the second manned spaceflight in the United States Apollo space program. The mission launched on December 21, 1968 with a three man crew who became the first to leave Earth’s orbit, enter the gravity well and orbit the moon, and see the entirety of Earth to witness Earthrise.

Evening registration opens at 5 p.m. with dinner served at 6:30 p.m. and presentation to follow. NEW! Select your seats at the time of purchase. If you wish to sit with other attendees, please coordinate your purchase. All ticket sales are nonrefundable.

Mr. Borman and Mr. Lovell will not be signing autographs before or after the event and we ask that you honor his request. We apologize for any disappointment this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

For the security of all guests, EAA security will be checking all bags upon entrance to the Wright Brothers Memorial Banquet. Bags or purses that exceed 12” by 6” by 12”will be allowed inside the EAA Aviation Museum. We encourage you to plan accordingly or leave larger items in your vehicle.


Dinner choices:
  • Filet of Tenderloin - 8 oz. tenderloin filet, sautéed mushrooms, béarnaise sauce (on the side), and twice baked potato
  • Chicken Ala Oskar - Pan sautéed chicken breast topped with crabmeat, hollandaise sauce, asparagus spears, and wild rice blend
  • Portabella & Quinoa Stuffed Mushrooms (vegetarian and gluten free) - Portabella mushroom filled with a mixture of plumped brown rice grain, sautéed mushrooms, and sundried tomato slivers folded into a cream and goat cheese mixture.
