This annual banquet honors the spirit and achievements of the Wright Brothers. Celebrate the anniversary of the first powered flight and the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 8 mission with a key-note presentation, cocktails, and full-dinner service. Save the date for Friday, December 7, 2018. Tickets and additional event information will be available in Spring 2018.
The Apollo 8 mission was the second manned spaceflight in the United States Apollo space program. The mission launched on December 21, 1968 with a three-man crew; Commander Frank Borman, Command Module Pilot James Lovell and Lunar Module Pilot William Anders. These men became the first to leave Earth’s orbit, enter the gravity well and orbit the moon, and see the entirety of Earth and witness Earthrise.
