On April 17, 2018 at 32,500 feet over eastern Pennsylvania, Captain Tammie Jo Shults and First Officer Darren Ellisor faced a catastrophic engine failure in their Boeing 737-700. The explosion punctured the cabin, tore chunks out of the left wing, and severed hydraulic and fuel lines. Tammie Jo will take you inside the cockpit on that fateful day as she and Darren battled for the next 22 minutes to get the crippled jet safely on the ground in Philadelphia.
