Each year, more than 6,000 people volunteer their time to contribute to EAA’s year-round programs and AirVenture, and we truly could not do it without them. EAA is excited to announce that the 2026 Volunteers of the Year and Dorothy Hilbert Award awards ceremony will be held to honor the selected volunteers at Volunteer Park on the AirVenture grounds on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at 3 p.m.

This award was created to recognize outstanding volunteers who have contributed to EAA at an extraordinary level. The selected volunteers will be awarded with engraved bricks to be placed in Volunteer Park for all to appreciate during AirVenture. This is a wonderful way to recognize someone whose dedication as a volunteer has inspired and motivated others. The deadline for this award submission is April 15, 2025.
This award honors a female AirVenture volunteer who exhibits the same passion, dedication, and devotion for volunteerism as the late Dorothy Hilbert did for our annual convention
