Jim Bourke began flying in IAC competitions in the Sportsman category flying an Xtreme Decathlon. He continued flying the Decathlon for 7 years moving from the Sportsman category up to Intermediate. In 2015, Jim started flying the Extra 330LX and moved from Intermediate to the Advanced category. In 2016, he moved up to the Unlimited category and became part of the USA Unlimited Aerobatic Team who competed at the 2017 World Aerobatic Championships in Melelane South Africa. Join Jim as he talks about the process to become an air show pilot; the paperwork involved, hours of practice, years of work, and the Aerobatic Competency Evaluation process.
