The World’s Longest Flight

Sun, Jul 28, 2019 - Sun, Jul 28, 2019
10:00 AM - 11:15 AM

Location: SpaceShip One Voyager - EAA Museum

Presenter: Dick Rutan

Drama surrounded each day of the Voyager’s 9 day, 3 minute and 44 second flight.  What was thought to have been an 18-month program turned into five and a half years of goal meeting and goal defeating. From testing to world flight success, experience Dick’s recall of thinking his copilot had died, to thinking both were close to dying, to dealing with an engine out over the ocean so close to home.
