Plans call for the complete resurfacing of runways 03/21 and 10/28, taxiways alfa and bravo, as well as the ramp area.
The rebuild will include increasing the pavement thickness to handle aircraft up to 737s or Airbus 320s.
CYTS airport in Timmins, Ontario, also is home to EAA Chapter 1126, one of Canada’s most active chapters. The airport has a 24-hour Nav Canada Flight Service Station, which also serves Moosonee and Muskoka as well as the very active airspace around Timmins.
