EAA Staff Taking Active Roles at NWOC

February 21, 2019 - Members of EAA’s staff will be actively participating in the National Warbird Operator Conference starting today in Tuscon, Arizona. Vice President of Advocacy and Safety Sean Elliott, Government Affairs Vice President Doug Macnair, Director of Flight Operations Dennis Dunbar, and Warbirds of America Executive Director Bill Fischer will be among those representing EAA at NWOC this year, in addition to the Warbirds of America board of directors.

EAA staff will either lead or moderate several forums at NWOC, including topics such as fuels, Living History Flight Experience FAA exemption policy, operations for bomber and transport aircraft, and a panel discussion on government advocacy.

Additionally, EAA staff will meet with the FAA on various warbirds matters during the conference. Staff members will also meet with warbird operators to discuss potential EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019 events.

NWOC brings together more than 300 warbird operators annually, and has done so since it was founded in 1993. The event provides a chance for constructive dialogue about warbirds, and EAA staff plans to take full advantage of the opportunity.
