Redbird Migration Comes to EAA Aviation Museum

October 12, 2017 - Redbird Flight Simulations annual Redbird Migration Flight Training Conference kicks off Monday at the EAA Aviation Museum in Oshkosh.

The event begins with an opening reception at 5:30 followed by dinner in EAA’s Eagle Hangar at 6:30 with an opening address by aerobatic air show pilot and Young Eagles Chairman Sean D. Tucker.

On Tuesday, EAA CEO and Chairman of the Board Jack J. Pelton will give a keynote address along with GAMA President and CEO Pete Bunce and Retired Chairman and CEO of Alaska Air Group Bill Ayer beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Tuesday also begins the first day of breakout sessions and the Migration Challenge during which attendees will discuss solutions to problems facing the general aviation community, specifically in flight schools and universities.

Day two of the event will wrap up with dinner and presentation of the AOPA Flight Training Awards by AOPA President and CEO Mark Baker.

The conference concludes on Wednesday with presentations by ForeFlight Founder and CEO Tyson Weihs, NTSB Board Member the Honorable Christopher Hart, and Boeing Global Services Director Capt. Carl Davis. The event concludes with lunch in EAA’s Founders’ Wing.

The Redbird Migration was previously held in San Marcos, Texas, at the Redbird Skyport, and the move to Oshkosh was announced in October 2016. The relocation of the conference will allow more attendees to experience the event as the previous location had some space restrictions.
