EAA’s Day of Flight Taking Place on December 17

December 9, 2021 – While many organizations look at Giving Tuesday each year as a highlight for charitable donations and philanthropy, aviation celebrates an even bigger day during this holiday season. December 17 is the anniversary of the Wright brothers’ first successful powered flight, regarded as the date that sparked the airborne imagination and innovation over the 118 years that followed.

That is why EAA is marking December 17 as our Day of Flight, a day where we invite all to support and advance EAA’s programs that build the future of aviation.

You’ll see videos throughout that day highlighting our programs and activities, including a live tour (1 p.m. CST) of the progress at EAA’s new Youth Education Center and Pilot Proficiency Center, the new addition to the EAA Aviation Museum that will open in spring 2022.

Help us reach our $10,000 goal for Day of Flight through your contributions and by sharing The Spirit of Aviation to your social media friends! We even have an online toolkit that makes it easy to add your own personal aviation highlights and stories as part of the day.

Come join us and make a difference on December 17! Visit EAA.org/DayofFlight for more information.
