Inaugural Day of Flight Sees Success

December 19, 2019 - More than $70,000 was raised this past Tuesday during the inaugural Day of Flight fundraising campaign to benefit EAA programs like Young Eagles, Women Soar Society, Heritage in Flight, Homebuilder Support, and much more.

We chose December 17 to commemorate the 116th anniversary of the Wright brothers' first successful powered flight, and throughout the day invited members through social media and email to fuel the future of aviation and help others experience the dream of flight.

Many of our programs and exhibits are only possible through donations to the EAA Aviation Foundation, and we are so thankful for our members and for Dick VanGrunsven and Keith Kocourek for their support that allowed donations to be tripled during Tuesday's campaign.
