Celebrating International Young Eagles Day

June 17, 2021 — Throughout the country, EAA celebrated International Young Eagles Day last weekend on Saturday, June 12. This event gave children ages 8-17 an opportunity to fly in a general aviation airplane with the purpose of developing and inspiring the next generation of aviators. This event was put on by EAA members and volunteers and was an opportunity to return to flying kids and allowing them to discover aviation. Many EAA chapters had not been able to host flight rallies for a year or more, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you to all the EAA members and chapters who volunteered to make International Young Eagles Day a success. Many EAA chapters participated in this year’s event, including:

Red Bluff, California ›

Roseburg, Oregon ›

Mason County, Washington ›
