My book is "Hijacked: A Critical Change of Plans" which centers around my being hijacked in 1980 as a Second Officer on a Delta L 1011. Once safely in Cuba, the hijacker demanded we fly him to Iran. This was two months after students loyal to the Ayatollah overran the US Embassy there. I have been telling my story since 1980 and made forum presentations at the Arlington Washington Fly-In last summer. This year I have presented twice at the NW Aviation Convention and Trade show in Puyallup, Washington as well as The Museum of Flight in Seattle and will talk at The Flying Heritage and Combat Armor Museum in Everett, Washington in March.
