Damayanthie Eluwawalage

Damayanthie Eluwawalage, PhD, MPHA, researcher/author/historian/Private Pilot/designer/professor, earned her interdisciplinary doctorate in Design and History from Edith Cowan University in Australia. She also holds a BA (Honours First-class) in Design from the Curtin University of Technology, Australia. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Ecology at the State University of New York, United States and a Professional Historian who specialises in costume history. Her research interests include interdisciplinary design, design theory, social history, aviation and space history, costume history, fashion/aesthetic theory and ergonomics/anthropometrics/human factors in design.
