Loren Groff is the NTSB’s chief data scientist and the agency’s senior technical expert for transportation safety data systems and data analyses supporting accident investigations and safety research. He has a PhD in Human Factors Psychology and, before joining the NTSB, was a flight instructor and regional airline pilot. He is (slowly) building a Pietenpol Air Camper.
