Bauer has been an aircraft systems investigator in the NTSB’s Office of Aviation Safety since 2012, having worked previously in the agency’s Vehicle Recorders Division for 4 years. He is also one of the NTSB’s UAS operators. He holds a degree in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and is a private pilot and remote pilot..
