Jerry Burke

Jerry has attended every EAA convention since it moved to Oshkosh in 1970, totaling 50 years! First 35 years as a reporter, last 15 as a volunteer. In 2008, Tom Poberezny wanted to capitalize on Jerry’s abilities and started PLANE TALK interviews on what is now Boeing Plaza. Utilizing 2 BOSE sound trucks, Jerry Interviews the pilots/crews right next to the aircraft parked on the Plaza. The sessions have grown immensely popular. Each session typically lasts 30 minutes during which Jerry asks questions and always opens it up to those who gather around the chance to also question the pilots.
